History

The Unit was formed at Richmond in New South Wales 15 January 1943. Unit travelled to Northern Territory by train to Darwin and was then shipped over to the Cape Don Lighthouse on the Cobourg Peninsula where it established its base. It was disbanded 18 April 1946.,
